Yin Yoga
Compared to most active (yang) yoga styles, Yin Yoga is practiced in a more passive way. However, the effect is deeper because you stay in a position for a long time (one to five minutes). It works on the ligaments, tendons, joints and energy channels and is an optimal addition to the muscle strengthening Yang yoga styles. The meditative effect of Yin Yoga is not to be underestimated.
Good for joints, tendons and ligaments
You hold a posture for two to five minutes or more, which has an effect on the deep-lying tissues such as ligaments, tendons, joints and fascia. The calm and gentle stretches allow you to easily come into contact with the subtler layers in your body such as energy, emotions and mind. During classes, exercises from Qi Gong, Tai Ji, Do-in are also done to cultivate your body awareness.
Relaxation
Yin Yoga is meditative, nourishing and restorative by nature. It provides an optimal balance for the busy, active life. More energy, resilience and harmony by allowing softness.
